Adam Berger handles Corporate, Transactional, Employment, and Complex Commercial Litigation matters as outside general counsel for a wide variety of businesses in the automotive, construction, retail, medical, and technology industries.  His clients range from small family-owned businesses to large publicly traded corporations and include many high-net worth and high-profile individuals.

Adam is often called upon to represent clients in commercial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions (“buy-sells”) and commercial real estate purchases and sales.  He defends lawsuits alleging breach of contract, fraud, breach of warranty, and violations of state and federal statutes. Adam assists his clients with contentious shareholder disputes and business divorces.  He aggressively defends employment charges filed with the EEOC and Illinois Department of Human Rights.  Adam has extensive experience defending contractors against claims of negligence, injury, and wrongful death.

​Adam has tried numerous cases to verdict and has an impressive appellate record.  He also regularly represents clients in arbitration hearings, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

​Adam has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Business Litigation and a Super Lawyer Rising Star in Construction Litigation.  He is the proud recipient of an Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter “Trial Lawyer Excellence Award” for obtaining a top defense verdict on behalf of an electrical contractor in a wrongful electrocution death case.  Adam serves on the Boards of various industry and charitable organizations. Prior to establishing Miller Berger, LLC, Adam was an owner of a boutique law firm in Chicago and a partner in a large, multi-state law firm.
